Workshop on experiences and lessons learned from previous pilot projects and electric vehicles in Ecuador and the world

On November 26th, we held the Workshop on experiences and lessons learned on electric mobility pilot projects in Ecuador and the region. This hybrid event (face-to-face and online) brought together key stakeholders to share experiences and lessons learned from previous pilot projects and experiences with electric vehicles in Ecuador.

Companies such as Grupo Nutresa, Express Logística, presented success stories in the region on the transition of their fleets to light electric vehicles in their last mile logistics. Likewise, representatives of GIZ and the University of Azuay presented the case of E-Cuenca and its pilots in the country and C40 presented the Laneshift Initiative: Accelerating an inclusive transition for zero-emission freight vehicles.

In the discussion, topics such as the implementation of microhubs and incentives and innovative financing models were highlighted, as well as intersectoral collaboration for a just transition and the importance of adjusting the operation of companies to achieve the transition to light electric vehicles.
