First response workshop on electric vehicles (EV) safety and accident intervention for emergency units

The workshop "First Response to Electric Vehicle Safety and Accident Intervention for Emergency Units" took place on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the National Polytechnic School. Its goal was to prepare emergency response professionals to handle situations involving electric vehicles effectively. During the event, participants gained hands-on knowledge about electric vehicles and their unique characteristics, enhancing their ability to respond swiftly to safety and risk-related incidents.

The workshop was attended both in person and virtually by members of fire departments from various decentralized autonomous governments (GADs) across the country, paramedics, emergency center personnel from the Ministry of Public Health, Civil Traffic Agents, the National Police Traffic Department, as well as representatives from ministries (MAATE, MEM, MTOP) and local government authorities. Participants received valuable insights into the specific risks associated with electric vehicles and the proper techniques to minimize risks for victims.
